Recently, as of this writing in Jan 2024 a church service in Sri Lanka was abruptly halted when 600 individuals, including 60 Buddhist monks, forced their way into the building and demanded the pastor cease his message. Persecuted Christians in Sri Lanka continue to face this type of aggression and those who are supposed to be protectors of the peace—police and government officials—often turn their backs and kneel to the mob.
